Caroline's Favorite Quiche Recipe: Notes: Start frying the bacon first while it's frying begin the crust Add the bacon grease to the crust before you fry the onions Crust: 1 1/4 cup flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 cup oil 1/4 milk 2 tbsp bacon grease Mix in pie shell. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 12 minutes until slightly brown on edges Filling: 6 slices of bacon 1 onion 5 eggs 1 1/2 cups of half milk and half cream 1/4 tsp salt 2 cups of cheese (extra sharp cheddar and monterey jack) 1 tbsp flour Cream cheese (optional) additional optional toppings: olives, any veggies. In pan, fry bacon. Chop onion, then fry in leftover bacon grease. Beat eggs. Add milk and salt to the eggs. Chop bacon. Add bacon and onions to eggs. Mix cheese with tablespoon of flour. Cut chunks of cream cheese onto baked crust. Pour egg mixture into crust. Finally sprinkle cheese mixture evenly. Bake 1 hr in oven 375 degrees.
